na cidade de Montpelier, o Oregon/California Trail Center. Seguindo para a divisa com Utah passamos pelo Bear Lake State Park e Bear Lake, de um azul celeste de encher os olhos...
Entramos em Utah com direcao a Salt lake City - sua capital - visualizando
o Salt Lake e suas salinas. Aqui existem diversas bacias de sal que tambem sao usadas como area de teste e treinamento pelo Governo Americano - no Great Salt Lake Desert - um verdadeiro "deserto de sal". Proximo da divisa com o estado de Nevada se localiza
a Bonneville Speedway - pistas de teste de velocidade sobre a bacia de gelo. Este local foi usado no filme "The fastest Indian" com Anthony Hopkins fazendo o papel de "Burt Munro" - da Nova Zelandia - baseado em sua historia. Bateu o record de velocidade em
sua motocicleta Indian.
Entao, chegamos a cidade de Wendover, em Nevada. Este e o Estado dos cassinos pois o jogo e liberado. Acampamos num KOA na parte dos fundos de um dos cassinos.

Leaving the Grand Teton Park we went south
driving near the border of Idaho. We went by beautiful places - Tanghee National Forest, Star Valley Scenic Byway, Bridger National Forest, Caribou National Forest, Snake River. In this State we visited the Oregon/California Trail Center, in the town of Montpelier.
Driving towards the border with Utah we went by the Bear Lake State Park and the Bear Lake itself - with a breathtaking blue color to its waters...
We entered Utah towards Salt Lake City following the Salt Lake and its salines. Here there are several
salt basins used as test and training areas by the American Government at the Great Salt Lake Desert - a "salt desert"... Near the border with the State of Nevada is the Bonneville Speedway - speed test site over the salt basin. This plsce was used as a set
for the movie "The fastest Indian" - with Anthony Hopkins playing "Burt Munro", from New Zealand, telling his own story. He came to the US with his motorcycle Indian to break the world speed record - and he did it...
From here we got to the town of
Wendover, in Nevada. This is the State of the casinos. We stayed at a KOA in the back of one of the casinos.
