Kluane National Park and Reserve of Canada in the Yukon, juntamente com Parque Provincial Tatshenshini-Aisek na British Columbia; o Parque Nacional Wrangell St.Elias e o Parque Glacial Nacional Glacier Bay no Alaska, por formarem  uma das maiores áreas de proteção ambiental internacionais do mundo, foi designada pela UNESCO como sendo uma area de herança  todos se situam nesta região.mundial. Os territórios tradicionais dos povos Champagne e Aishihik, Kluane e Whiteriver First Nations estão todos nesta região.

KLUANE NATIONAL PARK AND PRESERVE – Yukon Territory – Canada’ - e reconhecido pelas belas paisagens glaciais, vida selvagem abundante e aventuras únicas. Este parque apresenta um imenso conjunto de campos de gelo cercados por altas montanhas – Mount Logan, o pico mais alto do Canada’, tundra alpina e verdes vales que propiciam o aparecimento de uma grande variedade de flora e vida selvagem. O parque e’ terra de um numero significativo de carneiros Dall, caribu, alce, lobos, cabras e carneiros montanheses e a maior população estável de ursos “grizzly” do Canada’.   Com trilhas bem mantidas, placares interpretivos, oportunidades de visualizar vida selvagem, dois Centros Interpretivos, um camping da Parks Canada’ e área de uso diário no Lago Kathleen, e campings particulares fornecem suporte a variadas atividades.

TATSHENSHINI-ALSEK PROVINCIAL PARK – British Columbia – Canada’ – No extremo noroeste de BC, este parque se situa entre o Kluane National Park – no Yukon, e os parques nacionais Glacier Bay e Wrangell St. Elias – no Alaska. Apesar de sua localização remota, a bela região de Tatshenshini-Alsek atrai um crescente numero de turistas de aventura selvagem, atraídos por seus rios, lagos, montanhas, vida selvagem intocada, a cadeia de montanhas Alsek e o Monte Fairweather ( 4.633m, ou 15.200 pés), o pico mais alto da província.

WRANGELL-ST.ELIAS NATIONAL PARK – ALASKA, seis vezes o tamanho do Yellowstone, o Wrangell-St.Elias se estende desde o monte St.Elias (5400m ou 18,008 pês) ate o oceano. Embora a vegetação pareça esparsa, o parque apresenta uma grande variedade de plantas e vida selvagem. Carneiros e cabras montanheses vagueiam pelos picos íngremes, caribus se alimentam das plantas no sopé da Wrangells, os alces e os ursos vagueiam  pelas terras baixas. Vários rios e riachos propiciam a reprodução de salmão e outros peixes, bem como fornecem o habitat ideal para os pássaros migratórios.

Kluane National Park and Reserve, of Canada in the Yukon, together with the Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park, in British Columbia, Wrangell-St.Elias National Park and Glacier Bay National Parks, in Alaska form one of the largest internationally protected area in the world and is designated a UNESCO world heritage site. The traditional territories of the Champagne and Aishihik, Kluane and White River First Nations all lie in this region.

KLUANE NATIONAL PARK AND RESERVE – Yukon territory – Canada – is known for beautiful glacial landscapes, abundant wildlife and iconic adventures such as backpacking, mountaineering and Alsek River rafting. Kluane National Park features an immense core of ice fields surrounded by high mountains – Mount Logan, Canada’s highest peak, alpine tundra and lush valleys that support a wide array of plant and wildlife. The Park is home to significant populations of Dall sheep, woodland caribou, moose, wolves, mountain goats and the largest stable population of grizzly bears in Canada. Well maintained hiking trails, interpretive signage, opportunities to view wildlife, two interpretive centers, a Parks Canada campground and day-use facility at Kathleen Lake, and private campgrounds support a variety of park day use activities.

TATSHENSHINI-ALSEK PROVINCIAL PARK – British Columbia – Canada – In the very northwest corner of British Columbia, this park is nestled between Kluane National Park, in Yukon, and Glacier Bay & Wrangell St.Elias National Parks and Preserves, in Alaska. Despite it’s remote location, the ruggedly beautiful Tatshenshini-Alsek region draws an increasing number of recreationalists: kayakers and rafters are drawn to the Alsek and Tatshenshini rivers; hikers and mountaineers tackle pristine wilderness from.  alpine meadows to the jagged edges of the Alsek Ranges and Mt.Fairweather(4,633m;15.200ft) the province’s highest peak; and mountain bikers can explore old mining roads and other interesting and challenging terrain.

WRANGELL-ST.ELIAS NATIONAL PARK – Alaska – The size of six Yellowstones, this Park stretches from Mount St.Elias (5,400m;18,008ft) to the ocean. It is rugged, and yet inviting you to experience your own adventure. Though vegetation may seem sparse, the Park has a variety of plants and wildlife. Dall sheep and mountain goats roam the craggy peaks; caribou feed on lichens and sedges on the slopes of the Wrangells; moose wander the sloughs and bogs in the forested lowlands; and bears roam throughout. Many rivers and streams provide spawning grounds for salmon and other fish as well as provide the habitat for migratory birds.

Alaska is such a wonderful destination for tourists. It has meaningful attractions to explore and have an offensive time. I like its parks, lakes and glaciers.
